Recognize life-threatening situations and react confidently in 6 steps.
Learn when and how to get someone out of a danger zone.
Internalize the emergency ABCs and identify symptoms of breathing problems, consciousness disorders, and cardiovascular problems.
Learn how to perform the Heimlich maneuver for shortness of breath, e.g., due to a foreign object. Check unconscious people using the DISCO rule.
Learn when and how to place someone in the recovery position.
Practice measures such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of an automated defibrillator. You can practically imitate all exercises shown in the course with a second person.
