Vocational training for companies with HF personnel

Learning support, conceptual responsibility, and quality assurance by experienced specialists for the learners

Description

Our external vocational trainer comes directly to your facility (home care, nursing home or SME) and takes over the practical training of your apprentices on site. They plan and conduct everyday care training – in accordance with the requirements of the Vocational Training Ordinance. In doing so, they impart all necessary action competencies (care, support, medical technical skills, guidance) according to the education plan for FaGe EFZ/FaBe, AGS EBA. Apprentices thus benefit from professionally sound supervision – similar to training networks in which several vocational trainers work together. At the same time, the dedicated contact person from our service ensures that each apprentice is continuously supported.

Our specialist on site is usually a qualified EFZ or specialist (HF/FH) (with an additional qualification as a vocational trainer) and has several years of professional experience. They plan individual learning sequences for each apprentice and ensure that all training requirements are met. This includes, in particular, quality assurance of the training: mentoring discussions, progress documentation and feedback with the apprentices, as well as compliance with the education plan requirements. According to OdA recommendations, a supervision effort of approximately 10% of working time per apprentice is foreseen, which is included in our offer.

Our service also includes coordination with schools and inter-company courses (ÜK). The vocational trainer carries out the necessary administrative procedures (exam registrations, reports) and maintains cooperation with the vocational school and, if necessary, other external partners. This ensures that your organization meets the legal requirements for basic training: dual training takes place in close cooperation with schools and ÜK, even if management delegates these tasks to us.

Course Information

What content can I expect?

The trainees' education covers all defined areas of competence: basic care, support, care planning, service planning, medical-technical procedures, daily routine management, and supporting processes. In our practical lessons, trainees deepen their knowledge of care and support processes, communication, documentation, and ethical behavior. We work according to the principle of learning location cooperation: the practical work in the company is coordinated with the content of the vocational school.
Training planning and quality assurance:
We create learning objective plans for each trainee in accordance with the educational plan and continuously evaluate their learning progress. This is based on training company binders and training documentation. Regular coordination meetings with responsible persons and post-graduates ensure that the training meets the required standards. The external vocational trainer actively participates in the learning location cooperation with the school and the inter-company course centers (ÜK centers). In close consultation with you, she integrates operational requirements while ensuring compliance with all training guidelines.
Coordination and Administration:
Our specialist carries out all administrative tasks related to apprentice supervision: drafting apprenticeship contracts, registering for and withdrawing from exams, and liaising with specialist managers. She acts as a central point of contact for the Higher Technical College (HöFa) or vocational school and the ÜK center. This relief allows your team to focus on daily care, while the training processes are handled transparently and in compliance with legal requirements.
On-site specialist (external practical support):
Our external vocational trainer is a qualified specialist. She holds at least the Swiss Federal VET Diploma as a Healthcare Assistant (Fachfrau/Fachmann Gesundheit EFZ) or an equivalent qualification, and has also completed a vocational trainer course (40 hours). With methodical instructional competence, she plans the practical phases and promotes the trainees' independent action. A personal and trusting relationship with the trainees is important to us, so that the trainees feel encouraged to take on responsibility.

What else is important?

This offer is exclusively aimed at basic vocational training (tertiary level B), in particular healthcare assistants (FaGe EFZ / FaBe EFZ / Article 32) and social care assistants (AGS EBA). It does not replace any HF or FH offers and complements your training structures. The external solution keeps you flexible: You can cover increasing or fluctuating numbers of apprentices at short notice without having to build up your own staff. Investing in external vocational trainers pays off – it ensures training continuity and fulfils the requirements of the Vocational Training Act.

What are the requirements?

As a prerequisite, your company should have apprentices (FaGe / FaBe / Article 32 or AGS) and be subject to vocational training responsibility (training obligation). Our specialists work independently; your employees do not require any special further training for this. Preference will be given to companies with at least one apprenticeship position; consortia of several small businesses are also possible to reduce costs per company.

Further information

We work with a transparent service agreement and clearly defined responsibilities, so you always maintain an overview. Short-term bridging or one-off assignments – for example, in the event of illness – are also easily possible. We are happy to support you in developing a long-term training strategy in your company. Qualified specialists with sound experience and proven coaching competence are employed. This offer is particularly suitable for companies that want to train apprentices but do not yet have in-house vocational trainers. Prerequisites for effective and compliant implementation: Apprenticeship contract: A valid apprenticeship contract exists between the training company and the apprentice. This is the basis of every vocational training program and a prerequisite for being allowed to employ and train apprentices. Training permit: The training company has a cantonal training permit for training in the corresponding profession (e.g., FaGe EFZ, FaBe EFZ, Article 32 or AGS EBA). This permit is issued by the competent cantonal vocational training office and, among other things, requires that a suitable vocational trainer with a federal professional certificate and vocational trainer course be named. The external vocational trainer can support the company in applying by providing the necessary qualifications and proof. Agreement with vocational school: The responsible vocational school and, if applicable, the OdA or apprenticeship company networks are informed about the use of the external vocational trainer. Close coordination ensures that the external support is integrated into the learning location cooperation (e.g., invitations to support events, school feedback). If necessary, a written agreement with the school is required to clarify responsibilities.
